Dave's creative journey began in high school, where he spent much of his time daydreaming and sketching album covers. When a counsellor suggested graphic design—a field he knew little about—he jumped in. He went to study design, communication arts, and later music production and songwriting at Berklee College.
While in college, Dave began his career in Quebec City by combining his passion for both music and design, co-founding his first band Unsafe and a music magazine called Mélomane. After graduating, Dave toured North America with his bands, June and Equilibrium.
Following his studies, the touring led him to settle in Vancouver, BC. There he began freelancing, contributing to projects for Disney, Nike, Heineken, Molson, TD Bank, and others. As digital media gained momentum, he played a key role in bridging the gap between print and web design. He eventually co-founded a multimedia company focused on innovation and new technologies.
In 2001, he moved back to Montréal and joined Fido as a UI/UX specialist, during the early days of mobile technology design. Later, he co-founded Studio 021, collaborating with major brands like Rona, Blue Cross, Montreal Indy, Tremblant and Blue Mountain.
Throughout all of these years, Dave kept being an active musician, collaborating in a wide range of projects varying from co-writing to soundtrack design.
Now based in Vancouver with his family, he is currently teaching design at Langara College. He continues freelancing as an art director, designer, and songwriter—driven by curiosity, creativity, and a deep love of the craft.
